Trail is at the core of what we do.
Our men’s trail running shoe range is built for real conditions. From Wollongong’s local trails to the Illawarra Escarpment and the wider South Coast, these are shoes designed to perform when the terrain gets unpredictable. We focus on grip, durability and fit so you can move with confidence out there.
What to Look for
Grip – Traction across loose, rocky and wet terrain
Protection – Built to handle rocks, roots and rough ground
Cushioning – Comfort for anything from short runs to ultra distances
Stability – Control on uneven surfaces
Getting the Right Fit
A good trail shoe should feel secure from the moment you put it on.
Look for a locked-in midfoot, a stable heel and enough space in the toe box to handle longer runs without your toes getting cramped.
Aim for about a thumb’s width at the front.
Sizing
Most trail shoes fit true to size. Rather than sizing up, focus on getting a fit that keeps your foot stable without excess movement, especially on descents and technical terrain.
Grip, Drop and Terrain
The right setup depends on where you run.
Lugs – 3–5mm for most conditions, deeper for mud and steep terrain
Drop – 4–8mm suits most runners
Terrain – Choose based on your local trails, whether that’s Wollongong tracks, escarpment climbs or South Coast routes
Waterproof vs Breathable
Breathable shoes are the go-to for most runs. Waterproof options can work in specific conditions, but they tend to hold water once it gets in. For everyday trail running across our local terrain, breathability usually wins.
Our Range
We stock a curated range of men’s trail running shoes, chosen to perform across Wollongong, the Illawarra Escarpment and the South Coast.
If it doesn’t perform on the trail, it doesn’t make the cut.
